Zepbound Lawsuit: Lilly Wins, Don't Let Patients Lose

Do the right thing and #ReleaseAllTheVials
Today, something big happened behind closed doors. The opinion in the FDA versus OFA case, the one that could decide the future of compounded tirzepatide, was filed under seal. But those close to the case have confirmed what we feared.
The ruling did not go in favor of the patients who rely on compounded medication.
And that reality is already hitting people hard.
It is hitting the single parent who has lost seventy pounds and now does not know how they will afford their next dose.
It is hitting the retiree who just got their blood sugar under control and does not want to go backward.
It is hitting the quiet corners of Facebook groups and support forums where people are already saying, I do not know what I am going to do.
And worse yet, scores are turning to the black market for unregulated versions.
That is who this message is for.
And it is why I am bringing back a campaign we started a while ago. One that now feels more urgent than ever.

Here is what I mean by that.
Right now, Zepbound is only available through LillyDirect. The 2.5-10mg vials are in stock and shipping. That is huge progress. But for people who have titrated up to twelve point five or fifteen milligrams, tens of thousands of patients, those options still have not been released.
That means even if someone has a prescription, even if they can afford it, they cannot finish their treatment plan using the branded vial format.
And for many, that means making hard decisions.Do I split a vial (even thought they are single-use)?
Do I lower my dose? Do I stop altogether?
Let me be clear. I do not believe this is malice. I believe Eli Lilly wants to help. I have seen the efforts they have made to scale production, to fight stigma, and to innovate and bring new options to market. I am truly grateful for that. And I say that as a patient.
But if compounded options are going away, patients need a complete path forward. Not partial. Not someday. Now.
So this is my ask.
To Eli Lilly: Please release the remaining vial strengths through LillyDirect. Patients are ready. Providers are ready. Lives are already in the balance. Please reduce the cost to ensure that powerful and effective obesity treatment is accessible and not a luxury item.
And to everyone reading this: Please help amplify this message.
